Flyers to promote our show

Flyers to promote our show

We have thousands of promotional flyers to hand out over the next few days. Cast and crew will be drumming up business to sell tickets for the show in five weeks time. The reverse of the flyers have all of the details on ordering tickets, from our very soon to be live, secure PayPal box office, to making a call. Or if you want to keep it very simple, just fill in the form on the back and post it in or hand it to someone on the production.

Time to learn the lines

Time to learn the lines

The actors have spent two months working through the acts, blocking the staging and getting to know their places. They now have until the end of August to learn their lines and cues, because when the production returns there will be no scripts!!

Marketing and stage design is all go, and this will be setting some important key dates in September and October.

Production volunteers

Production volunteers

With the cast now starting rehearsals, we need to turn our attention to production help. All those who wanted to get involved, but didn’t want to be seen onstage, raise your hand!

Please take a look at the Production Roles page. This explains most of the backstage positions that need to be filled. You can simply volunteer your skills to support the production, or take on one of the main production roles. We would appreciate your help on any level, so please get in touch and be part of the fun.

The cast has been chosen

The cast has been chosen

Following the recent wave of auditions, we have spent the last week calling or emailing people to let them know what part they will be playing or role they have. If you have not heard from our team, please call, as all of the attendees have been given a role in the show.

We will be supplying a copy of the script in PDF format for the cast to print out and mark out their role. A read through is currently being planned and we will be posting the arrangements here, so do keep visiting. Rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings.

Nearly there…

Nearly there…

Over the last week we have held a series of auditions. We were overwhelmed by the fantastic talent, which makes it all the more difficult to make those final choices. Bex and Liz are now working on the cast list, and are likely to be recalling a few people next week, before finalising the cast. They will be letting everyone know as soon as they can!

On a different note, we are busy working on finalising the music and songs and getting to grips with designs for the staging. As always, we need volunteers to help backstage, so do get in touch if you are able to help.

Give it a go!

Give it a go!

The acting auditions took the form of random groups. Young with old, young with young. We switched them around to let everyone have a taste of different characters.

For those who are still interested in taking a role, on stage or backstage, there is still time to get in touch.
