Our ‘Caboodle’ evenings were performed on the 11th and 12th of November at the church hall. The seven groups included a wonderful performance from Bugsy Malone by the ‘minicaboodlers’, with the slightly older groups staging short plays, adaptations and even a period farce. In between each of the pieces, we had songs from a number of musicals.
Seven directors were given a random selection of budding actors. From this, they could put on a piece no less than ten minutes, but no longer than 30 minutes. No group was allowed to tell any other what they were doing.
To stage the shows, we worked on creating a reasonable stage area, with tables and chairs for the audience, who brought along snacks and drinks for their evening.
With such a success behind us, we are planning more for next year.
